PLATFORM
It is critical that we as a city maintain our infrastructure and housing stock, in order to maintain our property values, and attract new residents and businesses. I will continue to work with the Administration to resolve issues with our sidewalks and streets, street lighting, derelict vehicles, and problem properties. This also includes addressing the issue of litter in our commercial and residential areas.

I recognize that strong economic development is crucial to the future of our city. While we as a city have made good progress during the last few years, much work remains to be done. I will support the Administration and Economic Development Department in their efforts to bring wholesome and needed economic activity to our city. I will also continue to be open to feedback from Ward 9 residents regarding which businesses would be a good fit (or not) for our community, and to pass such feedback on to the Economic Development Department.
Economic Development
One of the most important things I do as your Councilman is to be attentive to your issues and concerns, and to provide constituent services including addressing those issues and concerns. I will continue to be accessible via phone, email, and social media. Also, I will continue to send out email updates to those who subscribe to the Ward 9 email list, hold regular ward meetings, and periodically survey Ward 9 residents.
Communication & Constituent Services
A city government should be expected to handle its finances like you have to handle your household budget. While there are times of crisis that necessitate higher spending or cause loss of revenue, such as this pandemic, fiscal responsibility is the foundation of all other policies and services. Transparency with our citizens as part of the budget process is a must.
Fiscal Responsibility
Our internationally accredited police department should have the resources necessary to keep our neighborhoods and commercial areas safe from crime, and to enforce our traffic safety ordinances. This also includes supporting our Ward 9 Neighborhood Watch Program.
